Taken 2

One can not deny the awesomeness of Liam Neeson. That is like denying water – you’d be stupid not to. It seems like he can do no wrong, except Battleship…and The Grey…and Wrath of the Titans. Nevertheless, the disappointment of Taken 2 doesn’t really come from the movie, although it was extremely fast pace. Really fast. But the disappointment actually comes from entering the theater with the first movie in your thoughts, and expecting the second one to adhere to its awesomeness. It doesn’t. And it’s rare for a sequel to be better than the original. They should have just left the first one in a category of its own. However, the sequel wasn’t bad – all the action that you would expect from a Neeson film. It just all…wasn’t really necessary. | B-
