Pitch Perfect

With the rise of comedy films with an all female ensemble cast, “Pitch Perfect” has solidify itself as a “Bridesmaids”-like sleeper hit, with extraordinary laugh out loud performances from Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. While paying homage to classic teen comedies like “The Breakfast Club,” it contains a surprisingly awesome soundtrack that doesn’t disappoint, especially for those who grew up in the 90s. Although the ending was typical, one that the viewer sees coming from the beginning, it is definitely worth enjoying. And thankful to “Glee,” the first show to push musical theatre into the mainstream, I suspect this movie will be a huge success. | A+
